Neurodiversity Celebration Week
Neurodiversity Celebration Week in March
March marks Neurodiversity Celebration Week (March 16–22), a time to recognise the many strengths and unique perspectives of neurodivergent minds.
While these dates help us focus on specific experiences, my practice remains focused on your individual experience. Whether you resonate with a specific awareness day or are simply navigating your own unique journey, I am here to offer an affirming, anti-oppressive space for your lived experience.
In my practice, celebrating neurodiversity isn’t just for one week—it is a core part of how I work every day. As a person centred counsellor, I believe that being neurodivergent is a natural part of human diversity, not something to be “fixed” or pathologized.
I am committed to providing a space that is:
- Affirming: Honouring your unique way of processing the world.
- Flexible: Adapting our sessions to meet your sensory and communication needs.
- Safe & Consistent: Providing a reliable, safe environment where you can be yourself.
- Respect: Valuing your lived experience.
Whether you are autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or identify with neurodivergence in any other way, you are welcome here exactly as you are. No labels, just a focus on your lived experience.
How can I best support your unique needs this month? My door is always open.
I was nervous before our first session as I didn’t know what to expect but you instantly put me at ease and made me feel supported. The techniques and theories you taught me have really helped me understand and manage my anxiety, and I continue to use these techniques and skills every day. Throughout our sessions you were understanding, compassionate, kind, and you challenged my way of thinking in a way that was supportive and encouraging. I can’t thank you enough for how quickly you were able to offer me help and how much my life has changed for the better.
